Notes

Patek Philippe began making double-train trip repeaters around 1900 and continued their production, in very limited quantities, over the next 25 years. Fewer than thirty of them are known. The present watch comes from a series of private label watches, mostly repeaters, made for Shreve, Crump & Low, Boston, Tiffany & Co., and apparently Diener and Hermanos. Of these only the present watch is known to be a trip repeater; all the others are slide-operated.
