Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 80275,case No. 201221, made for C. Fredenhagen, Agent Général, Buenos Aires, circa 1888.Fine and extremely rare, 18K gold hunting cased keyless watch with split independent centre-seconds, fly-back, 60-minute progressive recorder and1/4 seconds diablotine.
C. Four body, massive, "pomme et gouges", polished. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, sunk 1/4 seconds foudroyante and minute registers. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 19''', nickel plated, double train, with differential winding,31 jewels (19 plus 12 for the second train), counterpoised straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Split-seconds independent seconds train with star shaped flirt on an extra wheel mounted on the axe of the escape wheel and push-pieces in the band.Signed on the dial, cuvette and movement.Diam. 54 mm.
