Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, No. 97782, case No. 222417, made for Bailey Banks & Biddle Co., Philadelphia, produced in 1897, sold on 26 July 1899. Very fine and very rare 18K pink gold, keyless, "triple complication", ?Special?, astronomical, minute repeating pocket watch with perpetual calendar, phases and the age of the moon, and split seconds chronograph. Accompanied by a fitted box and the Exttact from the Archives. This watch was recently serviced by Patek Philippe.

C. Four-body, massive, "bassine", polished, back engraved with the Cumming-Gordon family coat of arms, with the motto ?Sans Crainte?, gold hinged cuvette. Pushbutton at 10 o?clock for the split-seconds, bolt at 11 for blocking the chronograph. D. White enamel, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths, four sunk subsidiary dials for days of the week, date concentric with subsidiary seconds, months, and moon phase aperture with age of the moon. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 43 mm (19'''), rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 35 jewels, two-piece straight line counterpoised lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, ?swan-neck? micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs via activating slide in the band.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 55 mm
