Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, No. 138332, case No. 258237. Made for Shreve & Co., San Francisco, in 1909, sold on October 25, 1909. Very fine and rare 18K gold minute-repeating key-less split seconds chronograph pocket watch. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives.
C. Four-body, "bassine", matte and polished, concealed hinge. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with blackArabic numerals, outer seconds divided into fifths and with red five second divisions, 30-minute recorder at 12,subsidiary seconds at 6. Gold "Louis" hands. M. 17''', rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 39 jewels, coun-terpoisedstraight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, blued steelBreguet balance-spring, micrometer adjustment to the regulator, repeating with two hammers on two gongs acti-vatedby a slide in the band.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 47 mm.
