"Split-Seconds" Patek Philippe & Co., Genève, No. 80992. Made for M. Scooler, New Orleans, LA., circa 1888. Very fine 18K pink gold keyless pocket watch with split seconds chronograph.
C. Four-body, "bassine", solid, polished, chronograph lockingslide in the band. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, radialRoman numerals, outer minute track and concentric fifths ofseconds track, red painted five minute/seconds numerals,subsidiary seconds with red painted ten second numerals. Bluedsteel "spade" hands. M. 19''', rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes"decoration, counterpoised straight line lever escapement,bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balancespring, index regulator, chronograph activated by depressing thewinding crown and by a button in the band.Movement signed, dial signed by the retailer, case numbered.Diam. 53 mm.
