Notes

Very fine example of an Art Deco pendant watch in the "Chinese" style, much in favour in the 1930's and also used by most of the best French designers such as Verger, Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. Similar lapel watches retailed by Van Cleef & Alpels arc illustrated in Pan Glee/ & Apels by S. Raulet, Paris, 1986, p. 302.
