Notes

Property of an important Italian family. This newly discovered 130 with sector dial has remained in the same family since the 1970’s. The owner was a keen Patek Philippe collector and appreciated the simple yet refined designs of Patek Philippe watches . Different from the regular gold 130’s, the stainless steel version was constructed with shorter but stronger lugs, giving the steel version more presence. The original dial shows raised enamel signatures and tracks keeping with its factory configuration and has been kept in excellent condition, only 2 spots have been retouched in the sector dial at some point in its life. While most complicated Patek Philippe were, at the time, in gold, stainless steel versions are extremely rare and this example sold at the beginning of WWII, might explain the metal choice. An extremely clean and well maintained 130 steel with sector dial. The present watch has just been serviced by Patek Philippe and it’s still sealed.
