Notes

Without a doubt, the Patek 1463 is one of the most beautiful waterproof chronographs ever produced. Following the sale of a steel example with Breguet numerals (see Lot 200, November 5, 2022), we are proud to offer another spectacular example this time in pink gold and is probably one of the nicest examples we have ever offered. Not only is the case in spectacular condition showing almost no polish with 2 mint hallmarks, but the owner decided that we wanted an extra pink gold dial (watch was originally delivered on the silver dial as indicated on the extract), so he went on a very long quest to find an original extra pink gold dial that is a spectacular match. He furthermore wanted a pink gold bracelet so he was lucky enough to find a period Gay Freres riveted bracelet to add to an already breathtaking example. Scholars believe that only 145 examples were ever made in pink gold making this piece a true collectors delight.
