Notes

The Extract from the Archives, dated February 26, 2013, mentioned that this watch was sold on September 17, 1963. Patek Philippe, Reference 2582 This reference is launched in 1956. The Ref. 2582 is one of the rarest and largest vintage "time-only" watches ever made by the Patek Philippe. Most of them seems to be built with a two-piece case with snap-on case-back (by Markowsky, Geneva), in yellow or pink gold (from which only six are known to-date, including one in pink gold: Christie's, New York, December 6, 2016, lot 183, sold for the amount of USD 16 250.-) The present one is the only know example with a two-piece screwed case-back.
