Notes

Produced in 244 examples from 1981 to 1986 with the caliber 27-460 QPB, the majority in yellow gold, very few in pink or white gold. First series: leap year display in red on the dial. Second series: leap year display in Arabic numerals on the dial. Made in very few examples with sapphire crystal back. Third series: leap year display in Roman numerals on the dial.

This particular example was made in 1985, which was the last year of production of the 3450 before the introduction of the smaller and thinner 3940. Immediately the overall condition of the watch stands out, as most collectors know very well, the cases of the 3448 and 3450 tend to become thin with wear and polish especially on the lugs. This case displays thick and angular lugs, two deep and crisp hallmarks to the side and a final testament to the exceptional condition is the caseback notch that features a crisp 18K stamp, a rarely seen feature attesting to its overall quality.
