Notes

Patek Philippe, "Nautilus", Ref. 3700 so-called "Jumbo"

Launched in 1976, the "Jumbo" gold Nautilus Ref. 3700 was produced until about 1990.

It was made in two references; the first series, such as this example under Ref. 3700/1 J and the second series, under Ref. 3700/11.

It is recognisable by its straight bracelet and its correct Patek Philippe / Gay Frères deployant clasp.

Over its entire production span in gold, it is believed that around 1 500 pieces were made and this example stands out by its overall state of preservation and what is ever more impressive is the presence on the outer case-back of two gold hallmarks that are almost always worn or polished away indicating very little wear. The dial itself has been maintained in excellent original condition with its patina perfectly matching to the hands and a bracelet showing showing almost no stretch, an overall testament to the amazing overall state of conservation.
