Notes

In 1986 Patek Philippe launched a new generation of perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch, under the reference 3970 and a much rarer 3971.
These models replaced the legendary ref.2499 introducing a Lemania base caliber. The reference 3971 was a transactional model introduced prior to all 3970 issued with the double caseback. Patek Philippe introduced the 3971 as a unique reference as the demand for display backs grew in the early 1990s indeed, the few examples manufactured under this reference were supplied only with a display back.
This extremely rare and fine Patek Philippe perpetual calendar is preserved in excellent conditions and comes with its full set.
