Notes

Patek Philippe, Reference 5004
This reference was launched in 1995 and remained in production until circa 2012.
This example made in 2005, is part of the first generation of this complicated perpetual calendar split second chronograph. Instantly recognisable by its short split-second hands (longer hands were introduced circa 1998) and its large split-second block on the movement (such as this example). These first generation examples are extremely rare as only produced for 3 years as the second generation was produced for more than 14 years. Kept in overall great condition with nicely defined lugs and clear hallmarks, the reference 5004 will only continue to grow in popularity as proven by recent auction results, especially for early examples.

Provenance

Property of a Swiss gentleman
