PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 5040 PLATINUM Patek Philippe, Genève, movement No.776428, case No. 2958606, Ref. 5040P. Made in 1997, sold July 4th, 1998. Very fine and rare, tonneau-shaped, self-winding, platinum wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases, 24-hour indication and an 18K white gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted box, Certificate of origin, setting pin and booklets.

Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, snap-on case back, correctors on the band, rounded bezel, straight lugs, sapphire crystal. Matte silver, with applied white gold Breguet numerals, subsidiary dials for the days of the month, the week, the months, the leap year and the 24 hours, aperture for the moon phases, outer minute track. White gold Breguet hands. Cal. 240Q, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, free-sprung self-compensating flat balance spring, 22K gold micro-rotor. Dial, case and movement signed.
