Notes

A magnificent and highly sought-after 18K pink gold manual-winding chronograph wristwatch with square pushers and silvered dial.
Introduced in 1998, the Reference 5070 marked Patek Philippe’s triumphant return to the realm of pure, manually wound chronographs after nearly three decades of absence since the legendary Ref. 1463. Inspired by a 1950s aviator’s chronograph from the brand’s archives, the 5070 embodies a perfect fusion of vintage spirit and contemporary craftsmanship.

Its generous 42mm case bold yet impeccably balanced redefined proportions within classical horology, while the Lemania-based calibre CH 27-70, meticulously finished in Patek Philippe’s ateliers, affirmed the maison’s unrivaled devotion to mechanical artistry.

The present pink gold version, with its warm tones and elegantly contrasted silver dial, exudes refinement and presence in equal measure. Revered by collectors as one of the most charismatic modern chronographs of Patek Philippe’s late 20th-century production, the 5070R stands as both homage and milestone, a watch where heritage, proportion, and perfection converge.
