As a continuity to Reference 5130, Reference 5131 was introduced in 4 different materials. Each version illustrates different continents.
The yellow gold version launched in 2008 represents the Americas, Europe and Africa. Followed by the white gold version in 2009, featuring Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. For the pink gold version in 2014, it illustrates Asia, Oceania and America. The final launch of the platinum version launched in 2017 represents the North Pole.
The names of 24 cities are displayed in italic font with the signature Patek Philippe and company location Geneve on the bezel. It is equipped with the ultra-thin automatic calibre 240HU (HU for Heure Universelle which is ‘World Time’ in French). It is also accompanied with a n exceptional 22K gold micro-rotor on the back plate.
