Magnificent and very rare manual-winding wristwatch in platinum, created for the 175" anniversary of Patek Philippe.

Rectangular platinum tonneau shape with engraved embroidery on the band, a diamond inserted between the bottom lugs, engraved case back, push button crown on the right, on/off button on the left bracelet for the time change bell, sapphire crystal.

Opalin silver dial decorated with the same embroidery as the case band. Silvered disc with painted Arabic numerals for the minutes; Breguet hand and an aperture at 60 for the jumping date in black painted Arabic numerals. Silvered guilloche sub-dials for the seconds with a rare horological complication, since the seconds jump from division to division as a quartz movement could do.

Notes

Released for the 175th anniversary of the brand, the reference 5275 was the second most complicated watch released for this occasion apart from the ref. 5175, the Grandmaster Chime. Released in a very limited edition of only 175 examples, as an updated version of the jump hour anniversary launched in 1989, ref. 3969R made in 450 pieces to celebrate Patek Philippe's 150th Anniversary. This new reference pays homage to the ref. 3969 staying consistent with its design featuring a beautiful tonneau-shape case. However, it distinguishes itself by many new features that led to Patek Philippe depositing 4 new patents just for this watch, for the caliber 32-650 HGS PS: isolation of the hour strike mechanism (1), jumping mechanism with coaxial wheels for the jumping seconds (2) and the jumping hours (3), and mechanism for synchronizing two jumping indications (4). Providing 45 hours of power reserve, the new platinum case is hand engraved on both sides with floral motifs matching the dial and has a slide to the side to engage/ disengage the chime mechanism which strikes at each hour. The original retail price was CHF 310'000.
