Stainless steel, self-winding, vertical rectangular and cushion-shaped, large gentleman’s wristwatch, water-resistant with sapphire-crystal case-back screwed by four screws, with subsidiary seconds at 4:30 and four horological complications: • Half-instantaneous date of the month (subsidiary dial at 7:30) • Phases of the moon (aperture at 7:30) • 50-hour power-reserve indication (sector at 10:30). Black colour “tramé” horizontal stripes dial with applied steel gold luminescent « Baton » indexes.

Patek Philippe, Ref. 5712 1A

This reference is launched in 2006 at the occasion of the “Nautilus” 30th Anniversary (the Ref. 5712 replaces the Ref. 3712). Three version were available:
· Ref. 5712 1A-001, stainless steel with “Nautilus” bracelet.
· Ref. 5712 R-001, 18K pink gold with leather strap.
· Ref. 5712 G-001, 18K white gold with leather strap.

In 2007, a unique piece, made in a Titanium case, was sold during the OnlyWatch auction in Monte Carlo; see Antiquorum, Monaco, charity auction, September 20, 2007, lot 26, sold for the amount of € 525 000.-

In 2010, 50 pieces were made for the Hong Kong market, with 18K white and pink gold cases, and, leather strap; Ref. 5712 GR-001. In 2012, this version was launched officially and available worldwide (BaselWorld 2012). This model is discontinued in 2015.

In 2015-2016, the Swiss retail prices were:
· Ref. 5712 1A-001, CHF 29 300.-
· Ref. 5712 R-001 and Ref. Ref. 5712 G-001, CHF 38 400.-
· Ref. 5712 GR-001, CHF 39 800.-

The entire production is estimated at around 7 000 pieces.
