Notes

Founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek (1812-1877) and François Czapek (born in 1811), Patek Philippe in one of the main pillars of the watchmaking industry. Specially known for crafting some of the most innovative and complicated movements, the Geneva-based manufacture introduced in 2014, the reference 5960, its first self-winding flyback chronograph wristwatch to incorporate an annual calendar complication.
Then in 2014, the reference 5960/1A – A standing for acier, meaning steel – was released, replacing the gold and platinum versions. While steel was reserved for sports models, such as the Nautilus or the Aquanaut, this marked the 5960/1A as Patek Philippe’s first ever annual calendar to have a steel case. In 2018, the model was discontinued.
The present example, in very good overall condition, is presented with its box and certificate of origin. Perfect combination of sporty and classic design, such a reference is a milestone in the contemporary watchmaking history.
