Launched in 2006 at the Basel Fair, the Patek Philippe Ref. 5960P houses the brand’s first in-house chronograph caliber, 28- 520. This model features an annual calendar and combines the hour and minute recorder on a single subsidiary dial. Its dual 30-minute register works with an aperture at the 6 o’clock position to indicate whether the minutes are in the first or second half-hour. The clever clutch mechanism allows for continuous chronograph operation without adding wear to the movement, enabling instantaneous starts without the jump often seen in other chronographs.
In 2011, Patek Philippe introduced the 5961P, featuring a stunning baguette diamond bezel (4.68 ct.) and baguette indexes, along with a beautiful matte blue dial. Acquired in 2012, this watch has been maintained in excellent condition and comes with complete accessories, making it a prized piece for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
