Notes

Property of a German collector
Patek Philippe, Ref. 5980 1A
This reference is launched in 2006, first with a black-blue dial (full stainless steel, with “Nautilus” bracelet). This first version, Ref. 5980 1A-001, remains in production until 2009. In 2010, the dial colour changes to be more grey than blue; Ref. 5980 1A-014. The movement is now punched with the Patek Philippe Seal. A new version, in 18K pink gold with leather strap, comes out; Ref. 5980 R-001. In 2012, comes out a light silvered dial; Ref. 5980 1A-019.
In 2013, it comes in a two-tone case, stainless steel and pink gold; Ref. 5980 1AR-001. It also comes with a full pink gold version, Ref. 5980 1R001. Both on “Nautilus” metal bracelets. In 2013, last year of production of the Ref. 5980 1A, the Swiss retail price was CHF 42 000.- Part of the final versions of the series in steel featuring the silver dial, this example was sold in 2015, making it one the last examples produced by the manufacture.
