Notes

Launched in 1976, the Nautilus has undergone many variations. In 2006, at Baselworld, for the 30th anniversary of the model, Patek Philippe introduced the ref. 5980, along with the famous ref. 5711 and 5712. It was the first Nautilus to have a flyback chronograph complication. It is powered by an in-house CH 28-520 C caliber, which makes the ref. 5980 the first self-winding chronograph ever produced by Patek Philippe. From this collection, only the ref. 5980R in rose gold is still produced. The present example, in very good condition, has been sold on April 22nd, 2021.
