Two-body, bassine, polished curved bezel, U-shaped bow, the back with a finely painted on enamel "The Shepherd in Love" by M. Bischoff, depicting the shepherd with Pan in an Arcadian landscape. Matte white with black painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds. Black oxidized gold baton hands. Cal. 17''' 140, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, self-compensating flat balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator.

The Extract from the Archives confirms the manufacture of this watch in 1972 and the painted on enamel case back entitled "The Shepherd in Love". MME. BISCHOFF Along with Suzanne Rohr and J. Pellarin-LeRoy, Madame Bischoff was one of the very few enamellists capable of producing such exquisite work for Patek Philippe. Her scrupulous attention to detail and long experience of the technique of painting on enamel made her one of the best enamellists for painting naturalistic pieces, often copied or inspired from old master paintings. Her work shows great DEPTH and tonality particularly in the rendering of shadows and the human form.
