Notes

Dial, case and movement signed. DIAM. 33 mm. This is only the second time the Ref. 885 enamel pendant watch has ever appeared at auction. Another example was sold by Antiquorum Geneva, November 13, 2011, lot 590, sold for 50,000 Swiss Francs. It is interesting to note that in 1983 it had an enormous retail price of 11,700,000 Yen (140,000 SFr. today), a price surprisingly close to that of an enamel dome clock which had a retail price of 12 million 800 thousand yen.
