C. massive, polished, revolving reeded bezel bearing the names of 41 towns in the world, teardrop lugs. D. in "cloisonné" polychrome enamel representing the map of Europe, concentric, revolving dial in 24 hours for the nocturnal and diurnal hours. Fancy gold hands. M. 12"'-120 rhodiumed, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted to heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, flat balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. In very good condition. Diam. 31 mm. Estimate:

This "World Time" system was invented and patented by Louis Cottier and produced for Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Agassiz and Rolex. Only three examples of this model are known to-day. A similar enamel is published in "Patek Philippe Wristwatches", page 186.
