Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 868326, case No. 676624, Ref. 1436, made in 1952, sold on 30 November 1955, retailed by Tiffany & Cie, New York. Very fine and rare, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with square button split-second chronograph, register and tachometer.

. massive, polished, monogrammed and dated back. D. matt silver with applied gold Breguet numerals + auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials, outer tachometer graduation. "Feuille" gold hands. M. 13"' rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 25 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, 8 adjustments, Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator, the winding-crown is also for the stop and reunite functions of the split-second hand. Dial, case and movement signed. In excellent condition. Diam. 33 mm.

Split-second chronograph wristwatches were the must of Patel( Philippe technology and were cased in yellow or white gold. Three examples only in stainless steel are known to-clay. This example bearing Breguet numerals in the dial is extremely rare to find to date.
