PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 1450 "TOP HAT", PLATINUM & DIAMONDS Patek Philippe, Genève, No. 977036, case No. 696248, Ref. 1450/1. Made in 1957, sold November 20th, 1957. Very fine and very rare, possibly unique, rectangular "bombé", platinum and diamond wristwatch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Two-body, solid, brushed, hooded lugs set with 24 baguette diamonds ? 2.85 ct, "bombé" crystal, case back engraved: Jimmy Corn from Aunt Donna 1959. D. Matte silver with applied 8 round and 3 baguette brilliant cut diamond indexes, subsidiary seconds dial. White gold feuille hands. M. Cal. 9'''-90, tonneau, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 25 x 37 mm. Thickness 10 mm.
