Extremely fine and rare, water-resistant, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, register, tachometer and an 18K pink gold Gay Frères expandable bracelet dated 1952. Accompanied by the original certificate and a fitted box.

C. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, stepped inclined bezel, screwed-down caseback, concave lugs. Dust-protecting cap. D. Matte pink with applied gold bâton indexesand Arabic numerals for the 12 and 6, subsidiary constant seconds and 30-minute regis-ter,outer tachometer scale, concentric minute and 1/5th second graduation. Pink gold"feuille" hands. M. Cal. 13-130, rhodium plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, punchedtwice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cutbimetallic balance adjusted to eight positions, blued steel Breguet balance-spring, swan-neckmicrometer regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 35 mm. It is rare to find a watch with this reference in such perfect condition, with its original box and Certificat d?origine. Ref. 1463 Production of this reference started in 1940. A similar watch is published in ?Collecting Patek Philippe Wristwatches? by Osvaldo Patrizzi, Guido Mondani Editore, 2004, vol. II, p. 146. Seal of Geneva Quality Mark. The best Geneva movements, such as this one, were punched with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark. This is a trademark of the Office of Geneva Control of Watches estabilished on November 6, 1886. Paragraph 3 of the statutes states that the watches awarded the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark must ?after examination prove to have a perfect mechanism to ensure regular and durable functioning?.
