Extremely fine and rare, astronomic, 18K yellow gold gentleman?s wristwatch with perpetual calendar, phases of the moon, square button chronograph, register, tachometer and Seal of Geneva Quality marks. Accompanied by the original certificate and Extract from the Archives.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, concave bezel and lugs. D. Silver matte with vertical applied yellow gold Arabic numerals, three subsidiary dials for seconds, minuteregister and date concentric with phases of the moon aperture, days of the week and month apertures at 12 o?clock, outer chronograph track divided into fifths, outermost tachometer graduation with base=1000. Yellow gold "Feuille" hands for going train, blued steel for chronograph and date. M. Cal. 13''' QP, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with self-compensating Breguet balance spring, micrometric spring regulator, punched twice with Seal of Geneva Quality mark.Dial, case and movement signed. This watch is among the first 30 examples of Reference 1518. It was based on the ever-popular 13''' chronograph movement. The best of them, including the present watch, had movements punched with the seal of Geneva Quality Mark, indicating superior adjustment and quality of finish. Ref. 1518 Produced in 281 examples from 1941 to 1954, in yellow and pink gold, only four examples known to date in stainless steel. - First series with applied gold Arabic numerals from 1941 to 1954. - Second series presented at the Basel Fair in 1942 with enameled hour indexes, the 12 in applied gold Arabic numerals. - Third series with applied gold indexes, the 12 in applied gold Arabic numerals. - Fourth series with applied gold "Bâton" indexes.
