Extremely fine and rare, oversized, 18K pink gold gentleman?s wristwatch with square button chronograph, register, tachometer and an 18K pink gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by an Extract from the Archives.

C. Three-body, solid, polished and brushed, sloped bezel, faceted teardrop lugs. D. Matte silver with applied pink gold Arabic numerals and pyramidal indexes, outer minute and 1/5th second track, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, outermost tachometer scale. Pink gold "feuille" hands. M. 13''', rhodium plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 23 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance with 8 adjustments, self-compensating Breguet balance-spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Height 11mm.

Ref. 1579 is, due to his large size, one of the most sought-after non water-resistant Patek Philippe chronographs. Ref. 1579 Production began in 1943. This reference was produced in Staybrite (very rare), in steel with pink gold lugs, bezel, and crown (extremely rare), in yellow gold (standard production), pink and in white gold (extremely rare). Only three examples were made in platinum.
