Extremely rare, important, and probably unique, oversized stainless steel, gentleman?s wristwatch with square button chronograph, register, tachometer and a stainless steel Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

C. Three-body, solid, polished, sloped bezel, faceted teardrop lugs. D. Matte silver with applied steel Arabic numerals and painted indexes, subsidiary seconds and 30-minute register dials, minute/seconds and 1/5th second tracks, outer tachometer graduation. Blued steel "feuille" hands. M. 13''', rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 23 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, 8 adjustments, self-compensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 12 mm. Property of a European Gentleman

This is the very first time we have ever seen this reference in stainless steel; indeed a world premiere Ref. 1579 Production of this reference began in 1943. This reference was produced : - in platinum (only three examples known, one sold by Antiquorum lot 119, October 2004) - yellow gold (quite rare) - pink gold (very rare) - Staybrite and gold (gold bezel, lugs, and crown, only two pieces known) - stainless steel (only one known, the present watch)
