So-called ?Banana? Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 974284, case No. 671677, Ref. 2442. Made in 1951, sold on December 12th, 1952. Very fine and very rare, rectangular flared, "bombé", 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.
C. Two-body, solid, polished and brushed, rounded lugs, two-facet crystal. D. Matte silvered gold with applied yellow gold dart and dot indexes and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial. Yellow gold "baton" hands. M. Cal. 9'''-90, tonneau-shaped, rhodium plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 27 x 43 mm. Thickness 9,5 mm.
