Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 888018, case No. 674391, Ref. 2497, first series. Production of this reference started in 1951. Very fine and rare center-seconds, astronomic, 18K pink gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phases with an 18K pink gold Patek Philippe buckle.

C. three-body, solid, polished, concave bezel, fluted curved lugs. D. matte silver with applied pink gold Arabic nu-merals and dot indexes, auxiliary dial for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Pink gold "Feuille" hands. M. Cal. 27-SC Q , stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses-côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 37 mm.

Ref. 2497 and 2438-1 Both references started in 1952. From 1952 to 1963, only 179 examples of this model were produced, the majority in yellow gold, very few in pink and in white gold and only one in platinum is known to date; the Ref. 2438-1 with screwed back has also been produced in very small quantities. Ref. 2497 - First series from 1951 to 1958 with applied Arabic numerals and "Feuille" hands. - Second series from 1958 to 1960 with applied Arabic numerals and "Dauphine" hands. - Third series with applied gold indexes and "Dauphine" hands. Ref. 2438/1 - First series in yellow gold with applied Arabic numerals, "Dauphine" hands, fluted lugs, screwed back. - Second series with applied "Bâton" indexes, "Dauphine" hands, fluted lugs, screwed back.
