Ref. 2438-1 and 2497 Both references started in 1951. Ref. 2438-1 From 1951 to 1963, only 179 examples of this model were produced, the majority in yellow gold, very few in pink and in white gold; only one in platinum is known to date; the Ref. 2438-1 with screwed back has also been produced in very small quantities. First series in yellow gold with applied Arabic numerals, "Dauphine" hands, fluted lugs, screwed back. Second series with applied "Bâton" indexes, "Dauphine" hands, fluted lugs, screwed back. Ref. 2497 First series from 1951 to 1958 with applied Arabic numerals and "Feuille" hands. Second series from 1958 to 1960 with applied Arabic numerals and "Dauphine" hands. Third series with applied gold indexes and "Dauphine" hands. This reference, produced in quantities not precisely known today, was made in yellow gold, white gold only one example known today, and platinum only one known today. The two references are no longer listed in the Patek Philippe 1964 catalogue.
