Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, No. 888071, case No. 683310, Ref. 2497, first series, completed in 1953, sold on April 6, 1956. Production of this reference started in 1951. Very fine, unusual and rare, astronomic, center-seconds, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phases, a Cyclops lens for the date and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. C. three-body, solid, polished, domed case back, concave bezel, fluted and curved lugs. D. matte silver with alternating upright applied yellow gold Arabic numerals and dot indexes, graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the moon phases. Yellow gold "Feuille" hands. M. Cal. 27-SC Q, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 poitions, shock-absorber, Breguet balance-spring, micrometric regulator.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 37 mm.

Ref. 24972497First series from 1951 to 1958 with applied Arabic numerals and "Feuille" hands. Second series from 1958 to 1960 with applied Arabic numerals and "Dauphine" hands. Third series with applied gold indexes and "Dauphine" hands. This reference, produced in quantities not precisely known today, was made in yellow gold, white gold only one example known today, and platinum only one known today. The two references were no longer listed in the Patek Philippe 1964 catalogue.
