Ref. 2497From 1951 to 1963, only 179 examples ofRef. 2497 along with Ref.2438-1 (water-resistant)were produced with the caliber 27-SC Q, bearing the serial number 888'000.The majority were made in yellow gold, withvery few in pink gold.To date, only one is known in platinum. Thiswatch, made in 1953 (movement 888'029),was sold by Antiquorum, Hong Kong, June 9-10, 1997, as lot 199.Ref. 2497 started in 1951.- First series from 1951 to 1958 withapplied Arabic numerals and 'Feuille'hands.- Second series from 1958 to 1960 withapplied Arabic numerals and 'Dauphine'hands.- Third series with applied gold indexes and'Dauphine' hands.Similar watches are published in 'PatekPhilippe Wristwatches', by MARTIN HUBERand ALAN BANBERY, 1998, pp. 284-287.
