Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 888065, case No. 679799, Ref. 2497, 1st series, made in 1957. sold on 2 February 1958. Very fine and rare centre second, astronomic, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar and moon phases.

C. massive, polished, concave bezel, fluted lugs. D. matt silver with applied gold indexes and Arabic numerals + auxiliary dials for the days of the month, apertures for the clays of the week, the months and the phase of the moon. "Feuille" gold hands. M. 27 SC Q Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes" decoration, 18 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance adjusted for heat, cold isochronism and 5 positions, antishock system, Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. In excellent condition, with Extract of the Archives. Diam. 37 mm.

Ref. 2497 Produced in 179 examples from 1952 to 1963 in yellow, pink and white gold. - First series front 1952 to 1958 with applied Arabic numerals and " Feuille" hands. - Second series from 1958 to 1960 with applied Arabic numerals and " Dauphine" hands. Since 1963, becomes Ref. 2438/1 - First series in yellow gold with applied Arabic numerals, " Dauphine " hands, fluted lugs, screwed back. - Second series with applied " baton " indexes, "Dauphine" hands, fluted lugs, screwed back.
