Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 869336, case No. 2632529, Ref. 2499, 3rd series, made in 1963, sold on 16 February 1965. Very fine and rare astronomic, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with round button chronograph, register, perpetual calendar and moon phases.

C. massive, polished, concave bezel, fluted lugs, outer back engraved with a coat of arms and dedication: Deeds not words A.I. IVIc.M. 1966. D. 18K gold matt silver plated with applied gold indexes + auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials, graduation for the days of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the huiations. "Feuille" gold hands. M. 13"' O Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodiumed, "fausses cotes" decoration, 23 jewels, lever escapement, monometallic balance, 8 adjustments, self compensating Breguet balancespring, micrometer regulator. Ref. 2499 Produced in 349 examples from 1950 to 1985, including very few with tachometer, they were made in yellow, pink and white gold, with two examples in platinum, in the 4th series. - First series from 1950 to 1960 circa, square buttons, "Feuille" hands, applied Arabic numerals, fluted lugs. - Second series square buttons, "Dauphine" hands, applied indexes, the 12 in Arabic numerals. - Third series from 1960 to 1978, round buttons, crystal glass, applied "baton" indexes, "Dauphine" or "Feuille" hands. - Fourth series from 1978 to 1985, becomes Ref. 2499/100, round buttons, sapphire crystal, applied "baton" indexes, "Dauphine" hands, very few examples were made with tachometer or telemeter scale, and three pieces only with sapphire crystal back.
