Patek Philippe & Cie, Geneve, No. 869483, case No. 2700435, Ref. 2499, 3rd series, made in 1977, sold on 3 February 1978. Very fine and rare astronomic, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with square button chronograph, register and tachometer, perpetual calendar and moon phases.

D. matt silver with applied gold indexes + auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials, graduation for the clays of the month, apertures for the days of the week, the months and the phase of the moon. "Dauphine" gold hands. M. 13"' Q Geneva Quality Hall Mark, rhodium plated, "fausses cotes " decoration, 23 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, 8 adjustments, Breguet balance-spring, micrometer regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. In excellent condition, with Extract of the Archives. Diam. 37 mm.

Ref. 2499 Produced in 349 examples from 1950 to 1985, among them very few with tachometer, in yellow, pink and white gold, in the 4th series, two examples in platinum. - First series from 1950 to 1960 circa, square buttons, " Feuille" hands, applied Arabic numerals, fluted lugs. - Second series square buttons, " Dauphine " hands, applied indexes, the 12 in Arabic numerals. - Third series from 1960 to 1978, round buttons, crystal glass, applied "baton" indexes, " Dauphine" or "Feuille " hands. - Fourth series from 1978 to 1985, becomes Ref. 2499/100, round buttons, sapphire crystal, applied " baton " indexes, " Dauphine " hands, very few examples were made with tachometer or telemeter scale, and three pieces only with sapphire crystal back.
