PATEK PHILIPPE REF. 3205, PLATINUM AND DIAMONDS FOR GOBBI MILANO Patek Philippe, Genève, movement No. 949905, case No. 2600706, Ref. 3205, retailed by Gobbi, Milano. Made in 1958, sold on January 22nd, 1959. Extremely fine and elegant, platinum and diamond-set lady's wristwatch with an integral platinum and diamond-set bracelet with concealed clasp. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

D. Matte silver with applied white gold lozenge indexes and Arabic half-hour numerals. White gold baton hands. M. Cal. 7???70, rhodium plated, fausses cotes decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock absorber, selfcompensating fl at balance spring, index regulator. This very elegant Patek Philippe watch retailed by the famous jewellers Gobbi of Milan is set with unusually large marquise-cut diamonds giving the effect of a scintillating cascade of white diamonds. A beautiful vintage watch epitomizing the glamour of late 1950s Italy. For an unknown reason, the diamonds on the case and the band are not mentionned on the archives. Compared to other examples of reference 3205 also diamond-set, there is no doubt that the diamonds are Patek-Philippe set and was certainly an involontary ommission when entered in their registers manually.
