Cal. 27AM-400, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, ?fausses-côtes? decoration, 18 jewels, straight line gold lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring. Engraved on the back: "With Gratitude - Sadruddin Aga Khan" and the family coat of arms. "Amagnetic" wristwatches made by Patek Philippe bear a gold lever escapement. Sadruddin Aga Khan An Indian prince and religious Leader, he was born in 1933 in Paris. The son of Mohammed Shah Aga Khan III of the Indian Royal family, he studied in Harvard and received a degree from the Middle Eastern Education Studies in 1957. In 1958, Sadruddin Aga Khan started working for Unesco, and for the UN as High Commissioner for Refugees until 1977 with King Hussein. In 1977, he also founded the ?Bellerive Foundation", including "Alp Action", a corporate international program for the environment. In 1978, he became Special Consultant and Chargé de Mission to the United Nations. In 1981, he began working for the Human Rights Commission. His highness Aga Khan is the uncle of the prince who is now a well known philanthropist. He lives in the Château de Bellerive near Geneva, where he is very active in defending human rights and the environment.
