Very fine and rare, astronomic, self-winding, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the original box and certificate.

C. Three-body, solid, polished, concave bezel, domed sapphire crystal. D. White with bold painted black radial Roman numerals, outer minute/seconds track, subsidiary dials for the days of the month, the week, the months, the 24-hours and day and night indication, and the leap year, aperture for the moon phases. Black ?alpha? hands. M. Cal. 240, stamped with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, rhodium-plated, ?fausses côtes? decoration, 27 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance, shock absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring. 22K gold microrotor mounted on ball bearings. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 36 mm. Thickness 10 mm.

Ref 3940 Production of this reference started in 1985. This lot is particularly interesting due to its very unusual dial, which was probably made on special order as per the customer?s request.
