The present watch would appear to be only the second example in pink gold to be sold at auction and the first to be sold since 1994. The majority of the reference 3945 were made in yellow gold, few in white gold and a very small number in pink gold. This watch is in exceptional condition. Ref. 3945/1 is identical to Ref. 3940, but with an integral gold bracelet without lugs. Production of reference 3945/1 began in 1985 and ceased around 1998. The model was made in two series, the first with a sunken leap year dial, the second with a cross through the leap year dial
