Matte silver with applied white gold Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds dial, concentric sector for the retrograde date, apertures for the days of the week, the months, the leap year and the moon phases. R 27 PS QR, stamped with the Seal of Geneva quality mark, rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 39 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, Gyromax balance adjusted to heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance spring, 22K yellow gold microrotor, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Ref. 5013 Production of this reference started in 1992. Until the introduction of the Sky Moon Tourbillon with 686 parts, this reference was Patek Philippe?s most complex wristwatch. Its self-winding movement has 515 parts and is similar to that of Ref. 5016, the manual-winding retrograde date perpetual calendar with tourbillon and 506 parts. Both watches have perpetual calendar functions with a retrograde date hand whose mechanism absorbs almost no energy when the hand returns on the 1st of each month. Month and year indications in the leap year cycle change instantaneously. I f the watch is kept running, no adjustments are needed until Feb. 28, 2100. (The moon phase indication will show a deviation of one single day only after 122 years and 45 days). Combining a minute-repeater with a retrograde date function sets this highly complex timepiece apart from other watches. The "Geneva Seal" or Geneva quality mark, attests that Ref. 5013 is made according to the highest standards of watchmaking.
