The Theodor Beyer Watch. Patek Philippe & Cie, Genève, "Travel Time", No. 3083327, 6/10, Ref. 5034. Produced in a limited edition of 10 examples with glazed back in the year 2000 for Chronometrie Beyer Zurich. Very fine and extremely rare, two time zone, water-resistant, 18K yellow gold gentleman's wristwatch with two pushbuttons and an 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the Extract from the Archives.

Two-body, solid, polished, ribbed and stepped bezel, straight lugs, the crown at 3 is for time-setting and winding, the pusher at 8 advances the local time hour hand forward by one hour at the time, the second pusher at 10 moves the same hand backward, glazed case back.D. White with painted Breguet numerals, auxiliary dials for the seconds at 6 and the 24 hours for the second time zone at 12. "Feuille" hands in burnished steel and yellow gold. M. Cal. 215 PS stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 18 jewels, straight line lever escape-ment, Gyromax balance adjusted for heat, cold, isochronism and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung flat balance-spring.Dial, case and movement signed.Diam. 34 mm.

Notes

This watch, no 6/10, was Theodor Beyer's personal watch. It was his custom to keep the watch number six from each series of limited editions made for the company. The number six was significant to Theodor as he was the sixth generation of the Beyer family to be active in the watch industry in Zurich.
