Notes

Ref. 5035 On March 1, 1996 Patek Philippe obtained Swiss Patent for a completely new date mechanism: an annual calendar for a wristwatch with automatic winding. This ingenious mechanism is programmed to take account of the varying lengths of each month from March 1st to the end of February in the following year. This is the first automatic wristwatch in which the calendar needs to be adjusted only once a year. A similar watch is published in "Patek Philippe Wristwatches", by Martin Huber and Alan Banbery, 1998 Edition, p. 323. 164
