Notes

On March 1, 1996, Patek Philippe obtained Swiss Patent No. 685585 G for a completely new date mechanism: an annual calendar for a wristwatch with automatic winding. This ingenious mechanism is programmed to take into account the varying lengths of each month from March 1 to the end of February of the following year. This is the first automatic wristwatch in which the calendar needs to be adjusted only once a year.A similar watch is published in "Patek Philippe Genève, Wristwatches", by Martin Huber & Alan Banbery, 1998 Edition, p. 123.
