Made in a limited edition of 20 pieces in 1998, sold on July 3rd, 1999. Extremely fine and very rare, astronomic, self-winding, platinum wristwatch with perpetual calendar, moon phases, 24 hours and leap year, with a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by fitted box, Certificate of Origin, hang tag and booklets.

Black with applied white gold pyramidal and bâton indexes, subsidiary sunk dials for the date, days of the week, the 24 hours, the months and the leap year, outer second scale, aperture for the moon phases. White gold dauphine hands. M. Cal. 240/114, stamped with the Geneva Quality Hallmark, rhodium-plated, fausses-cotes decoration, 27 jewels, straight line lever escapement, Gyromax balance, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung fl at balance-spring, mobile stud bearer, 22K gold micro-rotor mounted on ball bearings. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 35 mm. Thickness 9 mm.

Engraved on the case back: "In celebration of 200 years Boodle & Dunthorne - 1798 - 1998 - 17/20". Produced in a limited edition of 20 examples to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Boodle & Dunthorne's foundation in Liverpool. The business was acquired in 1880 by Henry Wainright and since then, the company has remained in the family, with a member of the fi fth generation having recently joined. The last decade and a half has seen the company expand from its Liverpool origins with stores opened in Manchester, Knightsbridge, Regent Street and, for their bicentennial year, Sloane Street. Boodle & Dunthorne celebrated their bicentenary with a specially commissioned watch from Patek Philippe.
