Notes

Consigned by the original owner, the present watch has never been offered at auction before. The Reference 5101 includes two features which are technically very difficult to fit within the confines of a rectangular movement: two tandem mainspring barrels and a tourbillon regulator. The tourbillon regulator in the Ref. 5101 is not displayed through the dial in the manner of other tourbillon wristwatches; this is because the oil used to lubricate the mechanism is sensitive to ultraviolet light and will decay if exposed to daylight. The reference 5101 in platinum has acheived the official C.O.S.C. (Contrôle Officiel Suisse de Chronomètre) certification and the Geneva Seal.
G. Collins and Sons Ltd, Tunbridge Wells. Received Her Majesty the Queen?s Royal Warrant at the beginning of 2005. Harry Collins became Crown Jeweller in July 2007.
