Notes

Silicon Escape Wheel The reference 5250 uses a silicon escape wheel in a Swiss lever escapement. The advantages of using silicon is that it is anti-magnetic, very hard, lightweight and corrosionresistant. Above all the locking tooth faces never need to be lubricated. This limited special version of the Annual Calendar Ref. 5250 presented in 2005 was the first Patek Philippe watch to incorporate silicon-based technology.
